Milam Glacier

7 Days / 6 Nights Munsiyari, Uttarakhand Challenging Group Size: 5-15

About This Trip

Milam Glacier is one of the largest and most impressive glaciers in the Kumaon Himalayas, stretching over 16 kilometers at an altitude of 3,450 meters. Once a bustling trade route between India and Tibet, this trail passes through the ghost village of Martoli and offers some of the most dramatic Himalayan scenery imaginable.

This trek is a journey through history and nature alike. You will walk through abandoned villages with crumbling stone houses, cross roaring mountain rivers, and camp under star-filled skies surrounded by towering peaks. The glacier itself is a sight to behold - a massive river of ice flowing between mighty mountains.
